Hello, and welcome to my blog! This is where you will find some of my most recent work, as I try to keep it updated as much as possible. I am a daughter, sister (to 5 brothers!) wife, mother of two boys (soon to be three!!!) and a photographer, among many other things too long to list in a short bio :) Feel free to contact me at eden@edenrosephotography if you would like to set up a session!
We are surprising our boys with their first trip to Disneyland this week! Please note I will return all calls and emails on Monday, April 2nd.

Sometimes they cooperate…sometimes they don’t. My little stinkers. There is always next time

“You must have SO many great photos of your own kids!” I hear this all the time! Well, the fact is I have not always been great about documenting my *own* family. Kind of like the landscaper’s lawn is never mowed, you know?
Then there is guilt over the fact that I didn’t take many photos of my two older ones the last few years. Honestly, a lot of it was time. Or lack of it I should say. Up until a few months ago I was working 30+ hours at a law firm which provided my family with medical insurance, but add having a growing family and a photography business on top of it….I was exhausted. And as much as I wanted to get great photos of my kids, I just didn’t have the energy to get my camera out. Shame on me! If I could go back in time I would photograph a little bit each day.
I am not going to make that mistake this time around! Lincoln is most likely our last, and I want to remember every little detail. So I am leaving the guilt behind, and am moving forward!
I also am embracing the fact that every photo does not have to be perfect. That is NOT what it is about. I love editing my family’s photos, just for me. It makes me happy to leave them a bit “raw” kind of like in the film days before photos were so saturated with post-processing and editing. The photo should be about the subject, the light, the emotion. I would love to get to a point where I feel comfortable editing my client’s images the same way. Baby steps.
Sorry for the rambling. I don’t write much on this blog because in all honesty I’m not a great writer. Also, I like the images to speak for themselves. So..enough talking and onto the images of Lincoln. 6 months old and growing way too fast. Nothing special….just hanging out on our bed this afternoon

I know I have not been the greatest at updating my blog…pretty horrible at it actually! I am really, really going to try and change that. I have come to terms with the fact that I can not blog every single wedding/session, but a few here and there is better than nothing
This is the Vossler family. Melissa is a really, really great friend of mine and she wanted to do something fun and different to announce that they have their fourth little one on the way! Notice the little yellow Toms at the end?!
We only had a very short amount of time, and our entire goal was to get that one photo for the announcement, but I love the ones we were able to get from such a quick session!
It should be a crime to have a family this beautiful.
